We’ve all set goals for one thing or another.
Some we’ve reached, some we’ve gone hard on but fell short, and some we’ve given up on.
99% of the time, you will find that the people who have hired coaches, trainers, mentors, or linked arms with like-minded people who have a similar goal or drive, win.
Rarely does anyone win all by themselves.
Acceptance speeches and book acknowledgments are prime examples.
The winner and the author have certainly done the majority of work and training and jumped through a million hoops to reach their prize, yet they recite an endless list of people that helped make it happen.
Especially when it comes to a health or business goal, it’s crucial to find someone who will help hold you accountable. An accountability partner will not only help keep you from quitting, but you’ll likely achieve your goals quicker.
How do you choose your best “AP” (accountability partner)?
- Choose someone who has incredible self-discipline
- Choose an objective partner who is not a close friend or family member
- Choose a partner with similar goals and interests
- Choose someone that’s optimistic and a problem solver
- Choose someone who will hold a mirror to your face
Have you heard the saying “you can’t push a rope.”?
Remember, your “AP” is there to keep you moving along the right path, doing what you said you were going to do.
It’s so easy to quit on ourselves, especially when we think no one is looking.
Your accountability partner is watching you and watching out for you.
Find a good one and win!
